I wonder what type of programming will replace him on Howard ? I got a feeling that Artie may be back on Monday. He's been gone a year and has apparently been doing some stand-up dates sporadically, so he's not a complete recluse. People who've visited the show and have seen Artie since he left have said he looks good and his routines are funny, so Also, there were taped commentaries from Artie on the History of HS - he has not cut himself off from the show entirely.
It's possible that he's clean now and feels ready to come back. I think Howard is a caring, compassionate guy he's a Capricorn, like me!
And hopefully Artie is smart enough now to not fall back to the drugs. If it's true that he's sold his home -- he may be hurting for money and needs to earn a living again. However, I also think that Howard does sometimes exploit his people for "good radio" and sees bringing Artie would be the ultimate coup. He claims that he's been living only on his standup money, and has his mother tuck away the Stern show money so he can't blow it all.
Allison cheated on Howard with her current husband for a long time, but Howard had at least one affair--with Mary McCormack, who played Allison in "Private Parts" while they were filming. Howard admitted he was impossible to live with, that he he was a workaholic who shut himself up in the basement for most of their marriage. I've never heard him say a negative word about Allison, which is pretty cool of him. He seems to be most comfortable with prostitutes. His dad and dad's friends really emphasized the macho and constantly derided gays.
He is really talented, and it always made me sad that the roots of his comedy come from so much self-loathing. I would love to see him back on the show, but I'd rather see him happy and healthy. Robin seems to be a really nasty piece of work who is just awful to her assistants. He stabbed himself 9 times, and some reports claimed that he also drank bleach. I would love to wrong. The thing that Howard never mentions but I think alludes to is Artie's behavior the 2 years leaving up to his suicide attempt. Artie was violent, confrontational and paranoid. He would had beat the shit of Teddy if given the chance. Howard beats around the bush about this. He doesn't want to set Artie off. I don't blame him. Why would Howard risk it? He doesn't need to drama. I would love to know what happened off the air.
Clearly, Fred and Robin knew how serious Artie's problems were. They told him to his face. Howard never had an affair with Mary McCormick. Robin isn't a nasty piece of work, she's just disorganized. I saw Robin and her boyfriend at Liquiteria about a month ago.

He's become the exact type of personality he railed against for decades. Would the Howard of even recognize the present day one with his trophy ladder-climbing young wife, Hamptons summering and ass-kissing of the type of people he used to rail against Billy Joel's latest insufferable ex-wife. I mentioned Jared in an earlier post. Yeah, Jared's hot, but he's not really an on-air personality. There was a time he was mentioned more often, due to JD's one-sided feud with him.
KC had a lot of odd quirks and mental issues, that were fun for the air. Jared only has the hot body. Aside from that, did they find out who leaked the Artie story to TMZ?
Wasn't it Jared? There was a whole thing about them trying to find out who the leak in the office was. Am I remembering this correctly? If it was him, I doubt anyone in the office trusts him with anything. I have absolutely no idea if this is true but if I were one of Stern's daughters I would commit suicide as well.
Jared isn't really on air enough to be a player, so his hotness is only mentioned in passing. Will Murray seems to be the show hottie that all the girls want. I choose to look at this another way. Would it make his fans happier if he never evolved? His is 56 years old - he isn't going to rail against the things he railed against From what I remember, no one on the show or in the media was talking about it, but then it got leaked.
I think TMZ actually wrote to Gary to tell him who the leak was, or something like that, since they're friendly with the Stern show.
A lot of people suspected it was Jared, but I don't remember hearing a resolution to it. I remember Stern saying he knew who it was, calling them a "maggot" with a "very professional job" and they should be fired in his opinion. He said "we know who you are" but he refused to mention the name on-air. I think he's as happy as it is possible for him to be. I think the Allison thing still tortures him and be blames himself for the destruction of his marriage. Basically, he's at the top of his game.

If they hate the show so much, why don't they find something else to do with their time? Chauncey hasn't been involved with the show for many years, and certainly doesn't have access to Gary's email or the Sirius offices.
I doubt anyone from show leaked the Artie thing. Maybe someone deep behind the scenes but not Jared. R - KC went to Alaska to visit his ex? When he got there, she was busy with working etc, and told him she didn't have a lot of time for him. He showed up at her apartment angry and feeling abandoned, and allegedly tried to break down her door. He called Howard from Alaska and told him about this incident and said he was accused of domestic violence, but he says all he did was break the door.
Also, the incident with the tranny KC said he had no idea the person was male. Howard and gang had trouble believing that KC had no idea about the sex of this person and this just enforced the "KC is gay" idea.
He called in before the break to confess a few things he didn't tell Howard the first time, since the tranny was sure to bring it up on the air. I'm not a fan of the History of Howard specials. The history has been sanitized. It's not the whole truth. Pretty much what said, plus there is a lot of behind the scenes stuff that isn't talked about. KC's firing. The smack that Stuttering John nightmare. The various bannings of certain regulars and wack packers and super fans over the years. The thing about Stern is that he controls the message, so you get his point of view without seeing the whole story. I think KC had a breakdown. Wasn't there a story about Tom C.

He used to torment her daily with a parody of the Beatles song Paperback Writer. For me, those were the golden days of Stern. I think he went a bit down after he divorced Alyson. Can't blame her though, he used to say that he would watch and Melrose Place etc.. Also, Ralph and especially Sal were not good additions. I had no idea KC was back in contact with the show. Is Ronnie the limo driver ever heard from?
Do they ever speak of Stuttering John? KC went off the rails. They found him cutting himself and bleeding over the Bible. He won a bunch of money through an advertiser and lost all of it.. He was also fucking an intern, which was a no no. Chauncey, Stuttering John and Jackie all backstabbed Howard. Stuttering John has recently been starting all kinds of crazy rumors about Robin out in LA.
This is after he and Robin became friendly again. Ronnie is a dirty creepy old man who dyes his beard. Angry Black hasn't been around for a long time. I used to think that Robin was pretty stable, aside from her horrible childhood molestation story. But some of the things she's been doing lately make me wonder about her.
The thing that rocked me most was when she said she was flying out to CA routinely to get some wacky "treatments" blood heating or something? If she did a story on another celebrity doing something similar, she'd be laughing her ass off. I recall an incident when a caller tried to get Robin to look at herself - they said she was doing all these things to fill an emptiness in her life.
Howard even agreed with the caller, but Robin would not listen. Lastly, I agree with Dr. Drew - Robin is a huge narcissist. She will hardly ever think she's wrong. She bugs me and I kind of want her to implode one day. KC's checked in quite a bit since leaving the show.
